4. Pedro da Costa Felgueiras mixes paint by hand using historic methods, explored in this article on The New Craftsmen blog. “I persist, I break my back, because I know the paint is different, and cannot be imitated with modern materials – I want the real thing.”

5. Sheffield Design Week is nearly here, an international design platform with events taking place all over the city. Our choice, Craftworks: a craft & manufacturing symposium for Yorkshire.

6. The Royal Mail chose ‘Sustainable Fishing’  as the theme of their latest edition of stamps, designed by Kate Stephens and featuring paintings by David Miller.

7. Double Trouble! Two new issues of two great magazines have been recently released: Hole & Corner Issue 3. is on the theme of people that inspire us, and Cereal Magazine, Volume 6 presents it’s usual beautiful take on travel and lifestyle.

8. We’ve already ordered a CSera pastel marbled iphone case from designer Carly’s Etsy shop – a Yorkshire lass who moved to Istanbul. Summery fun!
