Just Got Made inspire graduates at Artsmart
Just Got Made • 31 Jul 2015
Just Got Made’s founder Helen Kemp gave a talk at this year’s Artsmart, a one-day careers event for creative graduates from University of the Arts London, featuring talks, portfolio reviews and one-to-ones by leading industry guests.
Helen joined a mega line up of speakers – including Patricia Acker from The Design Trust, Alec Dudson founder of Intern Magazine, Pip Jamieson CEO of The Dots and Andrew Parker from Levi Strauss & Co. – to deliver her talk on the subject of Making It: How to Turn Your Designs into Products.
” It was EXCITING! Meeting the next wave of creative talent coming out of the University of the Arts London was a real eye-opener.
It’s about time we became less traditional and more radical in our thinking towards making and manufacturing. We are no longer restricted by having to mass-manufacturing thousands of the same objects, so why do we still think we have to?
Graduates from UAL have a strong vision of what they want to create and are keen to be as creative in their approach to making as they are when developing design ideas. There really is a Maker Revolution in the air, I can’t wait to see what happens! ”
